Hypnotize you- N.E.R.D
N.E.R.D performed this, their new track- Hypnotize you, last night at the Letterman show. I love N.E.R.D for their little weird details, like the hypnotized models, and the keyboard player in the balaclava.. Oh yeah and Pharrell is a hottie. Good Stuff.
Album, 'Nothing' out Nov 2nd.

Is This Love- Corine Bailey Rae's Bob Marley Cover

Those Lyrics + Her Voice= Match Made In Heaven
Do yourself and listen to it, here: Corinne Bailey Rae -Is This Love
Thanks Giantstep
Strip Me- Natasha Beddingfield
I really like Natasha's song writing style. I think she can be very clever and witty, and also intense in a none cheesy way. She's back, with her album, Strip Me, releasing November 9, and the title track out now. I'm not too sure about the sound of this particular track, but I can't wait to hear the rest!
JB3 feat Smoke DZA- Runaway From A G.O.O.D man
New Jesse Boykins III feat Smoke DZA. The Brooklyn soulstar gives us his own rendition of Kanye's Runaway. This is what he said on the subject...
“I feel like most of us, try and compromise with love and put ourselves thru relationships that are clearly not good for our health,
which drives us to do things to pacify the confusion. When the overall best thing to do is let it go.”
Crazy artwork I lie?

Jai' Paul - BTSTU
Who is this dude? I've come to know him through my good friend Dr.Lemon she plastered this on my Facebook wall and told me to love it. As if I had a choice, the bass knocks and the vocals are the perfect contrast to it. Jai' Paul is a that North West london guy who's making all the right kind of noises. Polydor are said to be sniffing around as well and apparently I must be a little behind the curve because The Guardian have been "hip," to this guy for a while.
I can hear some Dilla in there too.
But listen to the guy, its good shi*

Air Va$htie
That Jordan Brand have got Va$tie on board to pay respects to all those girls who rock J's on the regular.
They've come in a lavender and deep purple to deliver a feminin aspect to a trainer that at time seems so geared towards the male consumer. If you don't know who Va$tie is she's a busy and creative New Yorker , director, designer , photographer amongst other things.
Its not called the Air Va$htie, I think its called the Violette.
Check out Va$htie's work here.

You Blog? Need a dress?
ACCORDING TO MADCLOTH CLOTHING SITE, this is the dress all of you blogger lady writers need to be purchasing ASAP!! (men too, if you are so inclined)..
'The Blog Writer Dress'

Here is Madcloths excuse for creating this: “As a full-time blog writer, you know that there’s no reason to sacrifice ease in the name of style when you’re swanning around for hours with your laptop in tow. This loose-fitting babydoll dress makes a perfect match of both with its functional button front, cuffed short sleeves, and dark grey trim. A star-like pattern adds to its charm, as do its useful pockets. Transition from typing at home to meeting up with your readers for cupcakes by adding a fitted blazer, grey tights and a high, sturdy pair of heels, and you’ll be feeling both comfortable and confident as you chat the night away.”
AMAZING... -ly stupid..
Fashion week?? pffffft

Music Monday...Day 6 (B Lewis)
Today I'm feeling a little worse for wear, the word hazy springs to mind, but others would prefer the phrase mash up, no matter because it's just the result of a full weekend.
Easing me through this rough monday morning will be the works of my man B. Lewis, he dropped his new beat tape not too long ago, if you download it you'll hear some bits that I've blogged previously.
The official name of this track is "In Addition to last night," which I feel is a fitting title.
Happy Monday.

Kano- Is he back for real?
I used to be a big fan of K.A, I rushed to cop Home Sweet Home when it came out. I thought it was the best thing since Boy In The Corner, in fact I think I rated it more than boy in the corner, to me it was more refined, more listenable. I used to rate Kano's flow and word play so much, his mixtape Beats and Bars was on point too.
Then he went silent for a while and came back in my opinion....pants. The tune with Craig David seemed half assed and 140 Grime Street was disappointing. The only tune that I've really rated since Home Sweet Home was Layer Cake and I was bumping Bad Boy for a while too.
Now I've heard "Upside" and "Get Wild," and they still don't tick all the boxes for me, (sigh) but you can't win 'em all. But this little video with Kane spitting a couple bars has got me thinking Kano might have a got his groove back.
I hope so.
Time will only tell.

Parisien Gangster - Pics and Shi*
Whats 'appening leakers remember I told you I've been working real hard, well yea I am still am but its all good, 'cos as it happens for WORK I got to go out to Paris for a weekend, to do a bit of scouting a bit of clowning etc etc. I checked out a couple nice shopping spots, they've got a their own little Carnaby street going on that boasts some cool independent trainer shops and the usual Vans, Carhartt stores.
There's graffiti everywhere in Paris, I don't know if they don't care, don't notice or just plain can't do much about it, I noticed it as soon as I touched down when I kept seeing vans covered by it, even inside the tube Metro stations.
Here's some pics.

Music Monday...Nothing Going On (Elzhi, Dwele and Lacks)
The trio go by the name of the Breakfast Club, the song is from a demo tape sharing the same title.
I found this over on Higher Minded, I had heard of the demo before but never managed to get my hands on it till a couple weeks ago. This is one of my favourites from the disc the beat speaks for its self and sometimes there really is nothing going on but the rent. So shouts to those up and about keeping busy by keeping a roof over there heads.
Happy Monday.

Alexa's Madwell Preview Video
I actually can't wait, thinking this collection is super cute. And I'm loving this flower power hippie style vid..
Hoody Season - Nike X Off The Hook
Nike love a bit of Customisation, first they came with Nike iD which blew my mind and left me on the Nike iD site dreaming up deliciously coloured kicks for hours at a time when it came to town, which was quite a while ago. Then they dropped Nike Bespoke for those with "Media Ties." If you were lucky enough to have these ties you could get your hands on your own pair of Nike's designed solely for you, they cost a pretty penny too, peep them over at PNB.
Now they've let a few lucky customers in Montreal "iD" the AW77 hoody. Customers got to pick a choice of patters, colours and graphics from the Nike archives, and for the first time the embroidery took place in front of them in the shop.

Twizz - Summer Stars
This is some fantastic freeness, I haven't posted any lengthy recommendations for a while.
Reason being I havent fell in love with a disc in a while, but this FreEP is not one to be slept on. It's a compilation of Cleveland Hip Hop, a scene I won't pretend to know much about, but I'm Impressed there are some real gems on this project. I peeped it over on the Moovmnt, dropped by Keyel a group that seems to be pushing that truth. The beats are crunchy and the flows are as gritty then as smooth as you like.
I feel like this is the perfect wind down to summer, if this project was a season it would be Autumn, its so dope. Don't Sleep on this.
My picks of the project are, Nightscapes , Rememberlude and Rap Graffiti.
Supreme Team - The Nice Guys
I posted a video from The Nice Guys a couple weeks ago and now i've stumbled upon another visual of theirs. I like the raps real simple old school feel but it looks like a Supreme lookbook which isn't too cool. I know the video is called the Supreme Team but c'mon...

Who remembers this.
This is one of those Secondary School slow jams. I don't know what made me remember this gem from 2005, I think I was 16 when this was getting played, its pretty sad that dude went nuts and gouged his eye out...with a fork.
