B.Lewis, I found this @ precisely 3.19 am GMT, Watched the video several times and had the Beat Tape "Talking Chairs," on loop, up until now 4.12 am GMT. B. Lewis a Cali resident really seems to know how to get sweetest sounds from out of his synthesizer.

I love it.

This conclusion touched me so much, it reveals the ingenuity of a man with a gift, who in his short but full life touched so many with his art, his language of snares, claps,loops and blends to speak to many a listening ear.

 James Dewitt Yancey was the best to do it.

Dilla changed my life.

Lewis McCallum "First Date"

Lewis McCallum a sax player from New Zealand has dropped this single "First Date" from his upcoming album Syntheology which is due to drop next month. The vocals are provided by Fran Kora another musician from NZ and the blend of gritty bass and sythns is a winner. I'm very much so looking forward to the album, who knew they were cooking up this kind of musical goodness on the other side.

Theophilus London

I first got introduced to this man Theophilus through Jesse Boykins III on a track called "Connected." As i listened to the track again, I thought this dude actually killed his verse, so obviously to Google I turned, typed in his moniker and two twos I've got his mix-tape on repeat on the iTunes. "This Charming mixtape," is a blend of kanye-esque electro hop minus the autotune, with some neo-soul sprinklings  (Thanks to Jesse Boykins III) But its not all bubblegum synths and drums Theophilus can spit to compete with many of the new york rappers, probably because he was raised in Brooklyn and if you cant spit when you grew up in the same patch as Mos Def ,Talib and Jigga man u might get crucified.

New Marsha Ambrosius

A new E.P from Marsha, a follow on from "Yours Truly," is the new E.P/Mixtape "Yours Sincerely," I haven't given you lot any free music for a long time, I've been feeling bad, I hope this can make it all better.

Lil Wayne "30 videos"

Apparently Wayne has shot 30 videos in preparation for his coming jail bid,i know the man was a recording machine,but 30 video's my lard. Word on the wing is that he's shot two Carter 4 videos, "Ghetto life," a bunch of Tyga Tyga, Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine and young money joints, just to have in the vault so that when / if Weezy F does get thrown in the clink, they'll be no chance of us forgetting him.



I'm just scared that he's going to meet some new gangster mates inside, sign 'em to YM, pump iron, get hench and somehow find a patch of fresh skin to get some old school prison spit and pencil tattoo's.

J Dilla Changed my life pics and shi*

Attending the annual Dilla party of the year for the first time, i didnt know what to expect, i knew that the music would be second to none..obviously, but what i didnt count on was the montage of people that came out to have a good time and vibe to the late great James Yancey.
The atmosphere was euphoric and when certain Madlib, MED and SV  joints were getting spun i thought the enitre world was about to collapse.  I dont think you could get a better hip hop party if you squashed 90's New York into a shoe box.
Props to the SPINDOCTOR for making it happen.

Went to Dilla changed my life yesterday...heard some cuts that really moved the crowd, this is one of the many.

Who knew that Stringer Bell (The Wire)  the lovable entrepreneurial gang banger aka Idris Elba had more than a commanding growl residing in his throat. In fact he's got some smooth notes in there to boot, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when someone put me on his soon to be released LP, High Class Problems Vol 1. Said to be in the making for 2 years Driis says he's kicking it over old school smooth instrumentals, and from what I've heard so far, he's keeping it ever so soulful.

Here some brand new flavour for your ear


E.P is dropping a couple days, 8th Febuary.
*Leak fact "o" file* Idris wrote the intro for American Gangster, and wrote for Angie stones last album.

I ain't been on my threads watch for a hot minute but Lookie here, Stussy has joined forces with Stones Throw records to pay homage to the hip hop geeeniuuuss, Jay Dee, they are out on February 13 (February 10, being the 3rd anniversary of J-Dilla’s passing). With both a black and white version available.

This Hip Hop duo who are not even 21 yet, have put out this ridiculously solid EP, beats provided by Dunc and Flows handled by Toine, compliment each other perfectly I'm really digging it, its going to be in circulation in the whip for sure. In fact this is one the best Records of 2010 that I've listened to thus far....

There's something so very slum village about the whole E.P it is something very smooth and special.
